Shipping Cost to Germany

I've checked the preorder page on https://flutterwireless.backerkit.com

If i select germany as shipping country,
I pay 30$ for the first board and another 15$ PER BOARD! If i order 10 boards i pay 360$ for boards and 165$ shipping. Wow, expensive.

If i send something from germany with DHL in the USA i pay 12$ per package that would fit 10+ boards.

Why is it that expensive?

I've tried to get a reply to the same question too - i really want to place an order, but need clarity on shipping costs for multiple items.
