What's Flutter's low power performance?

The press page states that the power utilization is "10-40mA current draw (normal use)". The latest blog post mentions a sleep mode.

Can you post more details about the low power profile? I'm looking for a device that can TX some very simple sensors (e.g. door sensor/reed switch) on common batteries (3x AA maybe?) for at least six months.

For me, battery life is more important than wireless range. Is it possible to switch TX power to a lower setting to save energy?

Lastly, is there a full schematic, pin-out, or full data-sheet?

This is also something I would like to know, I am looking to use the flutter board as part of a sensor net, and there poweruses and range is very importen, range is in buildings so I will need to test that my self but how much power is used would be goods to know.
